The Lower Pottsgrove Historical Society is proud to display a solid bronze plaque recognizing the Sanatoga Union Sunday School’s inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.
The plaque was made possible through a generous grant from the William G. Pomeroy Foundation of Syracuse, New York. The foundation supports smaller historical organizations and helps communities recognize and celebrate historically significant places.
After the plaque arrived, Lower Pottsgrove Historical Society members Josh Alderfer and Lew Babel installed it near the chapel’s front entrance. We extend our sincere appreciation to Josh and Lew for their work and to the William G. Pomeroy Foundation for making this important recognition possible.
Visit the historic chapel to see the plaque and learn why the Sanatoga Union Sunday School holds such a special place in our community’s history.
