1934 Commencement Program Preserved for the Museum

A 1934 commencement program belonging to Lewis Babel Sr. has been added to the Lower Pottsgrove Historical Society’s collection.

Township Fire Marshal Lew Babel donated the program after it was discovered inside an old desk at the Township Building. Although the document had sustained some damage, the Historical Society was able to restore and preserve it.

Historic school programs provide valuable details about students, educators, ceremonies, and community traditions. Personal items like this help connect names and families to the broader story of education in Lower Pottsgrove.

We thank Lew Babel for entrusting this special piece of family and community history to the Society. The restored program is available to view at the chapel.
